Adhesives

Adhesive toughening agent, surface preparation agent with a polyurethane and natural rubber or synthetic rubber base.  An environmentally friendly product that replaces methyl chloride with ethyl acetate.  It has a high concentration of polyisocyanate for reinforcing effect, and shows a greater environmental compatibility.  Its main use is industrial, such as a rubber adhesive for shoes.


Components

A trithiophospolic acid (P-isocyanatephenylester), ethyl acetate.

Usage

When the adhesive materials are mixed, the adhesive effect appears shortly regardless of resins, preservatives or other solvents. After opening, the period of time for adhesion is 1-2 hours, and the longer the length of open time, adhesive effect or power will decrease until it hardens.

Dissolution Method

It can be thinned with water, acetone, non-alcohol methyl acetate, ethyl acetate, methyl ethyl kentone, toluene, etc.

Container

Aluminum bottle holding 750g or a drum containing 55kg

Storage

Store tightly as a rule.  As it reacts easily with water, take care not to mix the container with water or moisture.  In the case of the expedited shipping drum, it is better not to dispense bit by bit, but to store usable amounts in aluminum or glass bottles.
The containers should be tightly closed with polyethylene screw caps. Those made with alkaline components cannot be used. Since denaturing could occur in transparent containers due to heat from light, care is required about heat (40°C or higher) particularly in summer.

#160CC creates a stable coat by chemically combining with blacklead. The surface of the coat becomes a glasslike material at a certain temperature and protects blacklead or brick from oxygen in the air.


Purpose

Coating material for blacklead-electrodes, blacklead-blocks, blacklead-bricks, etc.

Directions

  1. Clean up dust or grime on the surface of electrodes, blocks or bricks.
  2. Paint #160CC with brush, roller or spray.
  3. Suitable temperature for adhesion -- room temperature~150°C.
  4. Normal quantity to paint -- 10~12N/m2.
  5. Necessary time to dry -- more than half day at room temperature, 30 minutes at 100~150°.

This series has strong bonding strength for adhesion of materials below.

  1. metal-plate and ceramic-wool
  2. refractory brick and ceramic-wool
  3. ceramic-wool and ceramic-wool
  4. refractory brick and refractory brick

These adhesives do not generate any poisonous gas and have good stability for acid gas.

Directions

*Clean up dust, grease or grime on the surface of materials to be attached. Take off rust, mill scale or anticorrosive with sanding machine or grinder.

*Appropriate amount:
For bricks --- Paint 1mm in thickness on the surface.
For metal plates --- Paint 0.5mm in thickness on the surface.

*Suitable temperature for adhesion -- room temperature

*Drying -- 1 or 2 days at room temperature. About 10 hours at 50~100°C (in case of metal plates).

DirectionsPaint (directly or diluents 20 to 30% with water) with brush or spray.

Dry in room temperature up to 100°C.
Paint (diluents 3 to 5% with water) with paddle, trowel or spray.

Dry at room temperature up to 100°C.
Dry in 70°C for 5 minutes. Then, dry by raising temperature up to 160°C within 5 minutes.

Burn at 600°C to 800°C in lighting-up time.
Dip or paint with brush.

Dry 3 to 5 minutes at 100°C, then, burn by raising temperature up to 230°C in 10 minutes.

This series creates heat resistant, dense and stable wear resistant paint film on the surface of ceramic-wool-board blanket, heat resistant glass, halogen lamp, etc.

The coating protects materials from permeance of water or gas.
The coating itself never erodes ceramic.
